Service Description: High Sodium Adsorption Ratios (SAR) indicate toxicity for susceptible plants like fruit trees and vegetables. Areas with predominant irrigation by desalinated water such as Ajban Palace, Al Nahda and Al Rahba show low Sodium Adsorption Ratios. In Al Ain, as well as Al Hayer, Al Salamat, Al Wagan and Remah, where access to good and intermediate well water for irrigation purposes is possible, SAR still remains below the critical limit of 15. Elevated Sodium Adsorption Ratio values are usually denoted by soil alkalinity.
Data on SAR based on field survey results which havebeen interpolated using IDW to show the distribution within the Abu Dhabi Emirate
