A detail descriptions of emission inventory for Abu Dhabi Emirate was reported in López-Aparicio S., Thorne R.J., Teixido O., Bartonova A. (2018) Air Pollutants Emissions Inventory, Abu Dhabi Emirate 2015. NILU OR (08/2018), Kjeller, Norway.Satellite derived habitat mapping of terrestrial areas. Input satellite imagery was Digital Globe WorldView-2, 8-band, 2 metre multi-spectral, 0.5 metre panchromatic. The imagery was acquired between 07/10/2011 and 20/05/2014. Automated and semi-automated image processing techniques were used, along with cartographic generalisation principles and local ground truthing and ecological knowledge. 41 terrestrial habitats are depicted. Within the terrestrial classification Minimum Mapping Units (MMUs) varied from 1 hectare to 25 hectares. The area of each feature is provided in hectares and kilometres squared. Areas were calculated using UTM39N and UTM40N. This data should always be used in conjunction with the Habitat, Land Use and Land Cover Delineation Project 2014 Classification Manual. The terrestrial habitat classification was based on the Major Terrestrial Natural and Semi-Natural Habitat Types of Abu Dhabi Emirate, Brown and Boer (2004). |
