(2018) Air Pollutants Emissions Inventory, Abu Dhabi Emirate 2015. NILU OR (08/2018), Kjeller, NorwayEmissions from industrial processing are calculated based on a bottom-up analysis. This sector includes emissions from any processes, as well as any fuel combusted, from industrial processing. The following sub-sectors are included; Asphalt; Cement and concrete; Iron and steel; Aluminium Production; Chemical Manufacturing; Fertilizers and Nitrogen Compounds – Organic; Fiberglass-reinforced Plastics Products Manufacturing; Paints, Inks and Varnishes; Plastic Products; Food Production; Paper and Pulp. A Tier 1 or 2 approach was taken to estimate emissions from each facility (depending on the quality of the information available) using EMEP/EEA (2016) guidelines. For each sub-sector, EMEP/EEA (2016) calculate process emissions and fuel combustion emissions separately. Emissions from industrial processing at each industry are spatially distributed as point sources and based on the geographical location of each industry provided in the questionnaires.
